Last week and (possibly the last talk I will do for the forseeable future due to the current situation - Covid-19), I was invited to share my story and business journey at The Assembly Rooms in Norwich.
It was a bustling room full of professional ladies from law firms including Steeles, Howes Percival and financial planners such as Loveday and Partners, to The Style Show and Jarrolds. However, due to Covid-19, you could see the numbers were more subdued than normal.
However, after a fine lunch supplied by The Assembly House, I took to the stage to share with the room my unusual story. It went incredibly well and I look forward to giving more talks after this has all blown over.
Please stay safe. Please also see the, Your Dream Shoes to Wear page for our Covid-19 promise to you.

Just because as a brand you may have been going for several years, does not automatically suggest you'll receive a front cover! However, this year was Milly J Shoes' year for this surprise. I may be a bit biased, but it in fact, the focal point of the image - the shoes!
Bride Magazine is one of Archant's top publications and each magazine lasts for a whole year, so enough time for me to get used to the front cover.
Included in the magazine are also Milly J shoes dotted about. Thank you to Bride Magazine.

As always, Bridemagazine put on an amazing two day show for the bridal public at the Norfolk Showground last weekend. From catwalks sponsored by Bullens Jewellersto back drops supplied by Big Smiles Photography to wonderful hotwl services offered by The Maids Head Hotel. It was lovely to meet both new and seasoned suppliers.

In a mad rush, I received a call from the BBC Look East news team wanting to come in to chat to me - immediately. Catching wind of a special shoe I had just finished making for The Bridewell Museum.
The museum is holding a pop up event all this month in celebration of Norwich's historic shoe trade. The exhibit features shoes created by a cross section of women, with a special Milly J shoe sculpture which will be permanently housed in the Bridewell shoe section.
If you've not visited the museum, it has a magnificent room dedicated to John Newstead, a local pharmacist who received an MBE for his services to the pharmaceutical trade. Collections of quaint and curious artefacts from the Victorian era fill jars and shelves and my - it is a sight to behold! Inspired by this, the shoe scuplture created was in homage to this.
I will reveal the shoe properly soon.

The Maids Head Hotel, England's oldest hotel is no stranger to weddings and so organised a photoshoot with local brides. I hope you'd agree that the finished project looks great!

Last Sunday was a great occasion coming together for the annual EDP/Archant, Dunston Hall Wedding Show.
The event always sees a fantastic footfall of bride and grooms to be along with their family and friends. This year's show felt particularly smooth and relaxed with both the suppliers and visitors enjoying the extensive range of services on offer.
Wew look forward to seeing you at the two day, Showground event in February!

To bring in the Christmas Spirit, Milly J hosted an afternoon tea and shoe clip making workshop at The Maids Head Hotel. The rooms were decked with classy decorations, our teacups were brimming and bellies full of scrumptious treats. The hotel did us proud.
The ladies who attended had great fun chattering and creating festive shoe clips to give as gifts. Streams of ribbon, bouquets of faux flowers, buttons, embellishments and more were offered to help create their wonderful clips. I took the ladies through demonstrations and then guided them through as they made their own.
As a partner with The Maids Head, England's oldest hotel, we are pleased to be hosting more of these in the future.
